What to expect:
Booking
Many people book me as their wedding photographer on the strength of what they see on the website and a chat on the phone, but I am quite happy to meet up with you prior to booking. If you’d like to check availability and would like information on prices, do call me on 01647 252159 or email me on vm@vanessamiles.com and then we can arrange a time to meet up. Dates cannot be held unless a deposit has been paid and a booking form received.
Before the wedding
I will contact you a few weeks before the wedding. I have photographed weddings at most venues in Devon but if the venue is not known to me, we will meet there. If it is, we will speak on the phone or meet at the house from where you may be getting ready.
We will discuss final preparations, whose who and what groups are important to you. I’m booked for my relaxed style but most people require a few groups and it’s important to get this right.
On the day
It’s time to relax and enjoy yourselves. You can rest assured that I will not interfere with the natural pace of the day. I will be capturing the moments as they unfold without many set up shots. The group shots we have agreed upon will be shot quickly and efficiently soon after the ceremony allowing plenty of time for natural candid shots. I will want to take the two of you off for a walk in the grounds only after you have had plenty of time with your guests and will probably relish a few moments together. This will be for about 20 minutes before the wedding breakfast. I will stay up to the wedding breakfast or to any time up to the first dance depending on the package you have chosen.
After the wedding
The photographs will be available online for friends and family to buy five days after the wedding and will remain there for three months. They will need to go the client login and the password will be the married surname. The first proof for the design of your album will be available online so you can make any changes there. When we have agreed the final proof, the album will be ordered and you will receive the finished album by post a few weeks later.
